POSITION SUMMARY
ParkerHealth Group, Inc., a not-for-profit, New Jersey-based aging services organization with over 115 years' experience that is committed to empowering older Americans is seeking a Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) to manage and oversee all areas of the technology function including both IT Operations and IT Innovation and be an executive level participant in business-based initiatives, data strategies, corporate risk management and overall future planning efforts. This position is responsible for ensuring the alignment between the organizational strategic and operational goals and technology focuses and resources. This position will also account for the key transformation initiatives, program management, operational management, vendor management, and continuous improvement of all IT products and services. Provides leadership, vision, and prioritization for optimizing the applications, supporting technologies, and IT processes. Builds strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders. Develops and aligns digital and technology optimization strategy with business-based decisions and fosters consensus at all levels of the organization to ensure the achievement of business objectives. Serves as a senior member of the leadership team. Collaborates with other senior executives to resolve and monitor a broad and diverse range of financial, operational, and strategic issues.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Digital Transformation Contribute broadly as the subject-matter leader for digital transformation and partnering with leadership across the organization to define the visionDevelop a forward-thinking digital strategy and plan that is aligned with the mission, vision and strategic priorities of the organizationDevelop an integrated culture focused around innovation and creating a seamless, contemporary digital experience. This includes identifying and addressing internal and external user needs of patients/consumers, providers and care partnersProvide a roadmap for digital transformation that leverages emerging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotic process automationEmploy advanced data analytics that leverage AI tools Data Security Develop and maintain security standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with the health information technology requirements of HIPAAParticipate in relevant audits, DR/BC testing, incident response testing, etc. as a critical team member. Strategic Planning Create and maintain an IT Strategic Plan inclusive of initiatives, focus areas and planned activities, informed by the needs of the businessDemonstrate strategic leadership through collaboration with business stakeholders to determine organizational priorities and relate those to technology resourcesCollaborate with team members on process improvements and risk mitigationThrough a Technology Steering Committee, create, manage, and budget for an enterprise architecture view as it relates to business systems, IT systems and system infrastructureManage and monitor relevant metrics through departmental leadership in customer service, project delivery, data security as well as system performance with a focus on continual improvementEngage key stakeholders, especially end users, in the selection and deployment of new clinical technologiesCollaborate with executive, operational leaders and teams to identify areas for improvement, implement innovative processes, and facilitate organizational changeResponsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive transformation strategies, influencing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with the company's vision People Management Identify future needs in terms of staffing in alignment with the organizational and technology focus areasEnsure resources are allocated to promote adoption and sustainable, meaningful use of new technologies related to care deliveryInform and guide the development of a state-of-the-art customer service model that offers high-quality relationship recovery, remediation, and serviceHire, develop, appraise, reward, manage, and retain a highly qualified IT teamLead by example through appropriate participation and involvement in Strategic InitiativesAct as an agent of change to introduce new concepts of service and technology processes cost effectively Subject Matter Expertise Keep up to date with current trends in senior living and more broadly as it relates to technology and ensure an understanding of how the organization comparesIdentify and champion areas for innovation in terms of business process improvement, resident experience, employee experience, cost reduction, etc.Participate and/or chair relevant committees associated with aspects such as innovation, data, risk management, etc.Work with directors to establish and manage best practice processes i.e. change management, roll back planning, root cause analysis, communication, etc. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent; degree in Information Technology, Business, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in an IT leadership role, preferably with a background working in the senior living, long-term care spaceStrong organizational skills with keen ability to prioritize and multi-taskEffective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills while maintaining a customer service mindsetExperience in applying successful project management, planning and prioritization skillsMust possess strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as demonstrated leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including communication at the executive levelStrong leadership/influencing skills are required with the ability to work effectively within a system and influence others to achieve resultsMust be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environmentMust possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of the companyThis is an onsite role based in Piscataway, NJ
