The successful candidate will work closely with the Dean and a team of marketing and communications professionals to define and refine key constituencies, design brand messages, and assess the success of the School's visibility and reputational recognition.
This role is pivotal in serving as the primary communications and marketing strategist for the School's education, research, and outreach enterprise, with a focus on content development, media relations, and digital and social media communications.
The Chief Marketing and Communications Officer will also be responsible for leading a dedicated team, providing leadership for marketing in the School's departments, and managing relationships with external resources as needed.
Applicants for the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer position at the company should have 10-15 years' of relevant leadership experience in marketing and communications, with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's preferred).
Experience in higher education and/or an agency environment is essential.
The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong project management proficiency, and demonstrable data analysis skills.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical capacity to understand and convey scientific and technical subject matter, and a proven track record in team leadership and supervision.
Responsibilities also include coordinating modern web design and content strategies, and representing the School in supporting university marketing and communications efforts.
