The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is seeking an experienced Chief People Officer for its executive team and to lead the People Services Department.
General Description: The Chief People Officer (CPO) is a visionary leader and transformative partner, driving innovation and fostering a workplace where people thrive.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the CPO plays a pivotal role in shaping DCAC's culture, talent strategy, and overall mission to improve the lives of child abuse victims while advancing national leadership on child abuse issues.
This role goes beyond traditional HR - focusing on creativity, strategy, and inclusion to build a future-ready workforce.
The CPO partners with executive leadership to deliver cutting-edge human capital solutions, ensuring alignment with DCAC's strategic goals and values.

Strategic People Leadership Design and execute innovative human capital strategies that attract and retain exceptional talent.Build a dynamic organizational culture centered on collaboration, agility, and inclusivity.Partner with leadership to develop long-term workforce strategies aligned with DCAC's mission and goals.Use data-driven insights to shape decision-making and identify opportunities for organizational growth.2.
Talent Development & Engagement Drive creative talent acquisition strategies, leveraging social platforms, analytics, and branding.Champion a culture of continuous learning, offering cutting-edge training and leadership development.Elevate employee engagement through modern recognition programs, DEIB initiatives, and culture-building efforts.3.
Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead efforts to embed dignity, equity, and belonging into every aspect of the employee experience.Serve as a thought leader and advocate for DEIB, using data to measure progress and inform strategy.Foster a culture of psychological safety where innovation and diverse perspectives are celebrated.4.
Total Rewards & Well-being Develop competitive, equitable compensation structures using industry benchmarks and analytics.Reimagine benefits offerings to support a holistic view of employee well-being, from physical health to financial security.Lead initiatives to promote mental health and wellness, creating a resilient workforce.5.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Leadership Guide the organization through transformational change with empathy and strategic planning.Oversee workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development for long-term success.Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, offering insights on organizational design and effectiveness.6.
Technology and Innovation Implement cutting-edge HR technologies to streamline operations and enhance employee experience.Explore emerging trends like AI-driven analytics, gamified learning, and digital tools to optimize people processes.Use predictive analytics to forecast workforce needs and drive proactive decision-making.Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in human resources or people operations, with a proven track record of driving innovation and cultural transformation.Certifications: SPHR-CP or PHR-CP required.Competencies: Visionary LeadershipCulture DriverStrategic Thinking and Problem-SolvingData-Driven Decision-MakingChange Management ExpertiseInclusive and Compassionate LeadershipTechnology Proficiency: Experience with advanced HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycom or similar).Familiarity with HR tech innovations like AI and predictive analytics.What Makes DCAC Unique?
