Our office is located in the vibrant downtown Waltham area, just a five-minute walk from the commuter rail and a variety of delicious local restaurants. We also offer on-site parking, making our location easily accessible and surrounded by amenities.
About the RoleThe Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technological direction. The ideal candidate will possess a deep well of knowledge, a proven track record of hands-on problem-solving, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a tech visionary who can craft and execute a compelling technology strategy, inspire teams, and foster strong relationships both within and outside the organization.
This is an on-site position, requiring presence in the office at least four days a week. Candidates must be able to commute to our Waltham office or be willing to relocate.
QualificationsAn advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics.10+ years of experience in industrial robotics, hardware, software, data, and product development, with a proven track record of leadership in senior technical roles. Experience in mechatronics, vehicle dynamics, or controls is preferred.Demonstrated experience in senior technical positions such as CTO, Distinguished Engineer, Director of R&D, or Principal Engineer.Proven expertise in taking a hardware startup from prototype development through MVP launch and successfully scaling it for market impact.Core CompetenciesLeader: A proven track record of inspiring and motivating teams and stakeholders to achieve ambitious goals.Key Contributor: Significant experience in driving the success of a high-performing organization that consistently meets its objectives and surpasses competitors.
