Job Description
AECOM is seeking a CAD Designer to be based in Cincinnati, OH to support our highways / roadways team.
Candidates throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky are encouraged to apply!
This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project.
This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements.
Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
HS + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in MicroStation, knowledge of CADD, ProjectWise, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and GeoPak is preferred.
Experience detailing roadway plans for DOT is preferred.
Familiarity with DOT standards and DOT Roadway Detailing Guide is preferred.
Ability to calculate concrete and reinforcing steel bridge quantities is preferred.
Additional Information
Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation in Ohio will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The hourly range for this position is $18.60 - $32.50/hr.
