Position Summary
One temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant positions in the English Department.
Start Date
Position available on or after August 21, 2024 and ending on or before May 23, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with communication and greeting visitors.
Assist with telephone inquiries and routing them to the appropriate person and taking messages when necessary.
Assist in retrieving and sorting incoming mail and distributing it to appropriate recipients.
Assist in making on-campus deliveries.
Assist in basic troubleshooting with technology (printers, computers, copy machines, etc.).
Assist in maintaining office supplies inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrates the ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax, scanner, etc.).
Ability to follow verbal instructions.
Demonstrates reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
Demonstrates good customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Office Software and TEAMS.
Demonstrates the availability to work between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Salary Range
$16.00 per hour
