Job Summary: The Urology Austin Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for new and existing Medical Assistants (MAs) and Patient Services Representatives (PSRs). This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, patient care, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, patient, and detail-oriented with a passion for training and development ?Responsibilities and Duties: New Hire Training:Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new MAs and PSRs, covering topics such as: Medical terminologyMedical office proceduresElectronic health record (EHR) systemsPatient intake and registrationInsurance verification and billingClinical skills (e.g., vital signs, phlebotomy, injections)Regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA)Conduct both didactic and hands-on training sessions.Monitor new hires' progress and provide ongoing support and feedback.Responsible for Preceptor ProgramOngoing Training and Development:Identify training needs for existing MAs and PSRs through regular performance evaluations and feedback from the staff members' managers.Develop and deliver targeted training programs to address specific skill gaps or emerging needs.Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies.Update training materials and delivery methods to reflect best practices and evolving standards.Conduct regular refresher training sessions to maintain proficiency and compliance.Field Training:Provide on-the-job training and coaching to MAs and PSRs in clinical and administrative settings.Observe staff performance and provide feedback and guidance.Assist with troubleshooting issues and problem-solving.Training Materials and Curriculum:Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of training materials, including: Training manualsPowerPoint presentationsJob aids and checklistsOnline learning modulesRegularly review and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.Evaluation and Reporting:Track and measure the effectiveness of training programs through pre- and post-training assessments, performance evaluations, and other relevant metrics.Analyze training data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future training initiatives.Prepare regular reports on training activities, participant performance, and program outcomes.Qualifications and Skills: Advanced clinical knowledge and education required; RN preferred. Urology experience a plus. Can substitute with comparable professional knowledge and experience. Minium 5 years of experience in a patient care environment Leadership background and experience strongly preferredProven experience in training and development, preferably in a healthcare setting.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical office procedures, and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Urology Austin offers a competitive benefits package to eligible employees.
