Clinical Nurse Supervisor

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms delegated functions in compliance with Hospital Policies and Procedures.Organizes and facilitates the delivery of nursing care to groups and patients on different shifts.Accountable for maintaining and improving own nursing knowledge and skills.Supports the philosophy goals and objectives of the hospital.The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for:The integration of the nursing department into the primary functions of the organization.The coordination and integration of interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.Review and development of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of clinical care to patients on all nursing units.Ensures a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care of patients on the Med-Surg and ICU.The continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services provided.The orientation and continuing clinical education of all Med-Surg and ICU staff.Will maintain quality control as appropriate.Other duties as called upon.
