NEW CONTRACTS MEAN NEW POSITIONS Summary: The CNC Set-up/Master Programmer will have a variety of daily responsibilities including setting up jobs on the CNC machines, repairing problems that the operators cannot fix, operating the CNC machines, gaging parts and keeping the area clean. When operating a machine, the CNC Setup Master will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Do basic programming to complete writing of NEW programs Setup jobs on CNC machines Repair machines and assisting operators with repairs Complete all paperwork as necessary Operate and maintain equipment Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications Clean work area, including mopping Perform various maintenance activities Work with office and supporting departments Qualification Requirements: Must have 6+ years of setup experience on CNC machines and 3 years of programming experience. Must be able to long hand program a part from only a blueprint Must understand the use of speeds and feeds with different tools Must be able to read non digital micrometers and blue prints Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications Must be cooperative, a team player and have good communication skills Must be able to do basic mathematics: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Trigonometry is a plus. Physical Demands:
