The Communications and Brand Strategy Manager oversees and implements WAGEC's integrated communications, brand strategy, and community engagement efforts to increase awareness, amplify our voice, and grow and engage our community of values-aligned supporters, corporate partners, and the wider public.
Working within the Fundraising & Communities Team, you will lead the next stage in developing WAGEC's communications, brand evolution, and community-driven campaigns, with an immediate focus on developing WAGEC's new website. You will build on the existing strengths of WAGEC's brand identity, ensuring that all messaging is consistent, compelling, and deeply resonates with our community and stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent role.
The core responsibilities of the role are:Lead the project team responsible for developing WAGEC's new website.Collaborate with the Director of Fundraising and Communities on the necessary steps to refresh WAGEC's brand.In collaboration, develop an integrated communications strategy focused on growing key audiences and increasing engagement across all platforms.Drive community engagement through communication campaigns, advocacy, media outreach, and events.Work closely with all programs and teams across WAGEC to support creative projects and align initiatives with the organisation's overall messaging and brand trajectory.Lead internal communications to ensure staff are informed and that messaging aligns with organisational and fundraising goals.About YouYou have proven experience in developing and executing integrated communications strategies within a nonprofit or similar sector.You have demonstrated ability to manage brand identity and oversee creative projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.You'll have a strong background in leading community-driven campaigns and fostering relationships with stakeholders, media, and corporate partners. And you'll be experienced in working with fundraising teams, executing appeals and lead-generation campaigns.You'll be proficient in content creation and using design tools, such as Canva and Adobe.You'll have at least 5 years' experience in marketing, communications or a similar role.We're looking for a manager who brings innovative strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, brand management expertise and creative storytelling skills.You have a degree-level qualification in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field, or commensurate experience.
