Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced, outgoing, and strategic connector to join our team in Crystal Springs, MS, as a Community and Employee Experience Specialist.
In this role, you'll play a key part in driving the growth of our company by cultivating strong community partnerships, enhancing our brand visibility, and fostering internal employee engagement. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape our connections within Copiah and surrounding counties in Mississippi, representing Hitachi Energy in various community settings and enhancing the experience of our employees through meaningful engagement initiatives.
Your Responsibilities:Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with local universities, key community organizations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, peer companies), and influential community leaders.Brand Ambassador: Act as a representative of Hitachi Energy, promoting our company's vision and values within the community, with a particular focus on advancing our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals.Strategic Program Development: Create and manage programs and activities that positively impact the community, including volunteer efforts and strategic donations.Event Coordination: Organize community outreach initiatives and special events to promote Hitachi Energy's products, services, and ideas.Brand Exposure: Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility, drive new business, and attract top talent.Networking: Attend and represent Hitachi Energy at networking events and conferences to increase awareness and establish new connections.Partnership Building: Collaborate with the Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition teams to strengthen our relationships with key institutions and community partners.Social Media Engagement: Utilize social media platforms to highlight our commitment to the community and engage with community partners online.Employee Engagement: Engage with Hitachi Energy employees through events and in-office activities, fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.Metrics and Data Management: Design and implement metrics to track outputs and outcomes of employee and community engagement programs. Maintain detailed records of activities and prepare comprehensive reports to monitor progress and effectiveness.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Employer Branding, Communications, and Marketing, to align community engagement strategies with broader company goals.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background:Educational Background: Associates degree in a related field.Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in community partnership development and employee relations, with a proven track record of influencing and collaborating with senior leadership.Authorization: Must have work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.Community Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the local area and strong community ties.Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.DEI Commitment: A deep passion for and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and attend events during evenings and weekends as needed.Location: Crystal Springs, Mississippi, United States of America
