\n Who You AreExperienced grassroots organizer, with at least 2 years of paid or unpaid issue-based campaign experience in the state of South Carolina, with a strong emphasis on community building and local connectionsSomeone with a passion for, strong understanding of, and experience in organizing for abortion rights and reproductive freedomAt least one year of electoral experience is required, with a demonstrated ability to meet quantitative and qualitative community organizing goalsExperienced with volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recruitmentTalented interpersonal communicator, highly skilled in engaging and developing relationshipsSomeone with a deep understanding of intersectionality and cross-cultural mindfulness Highly skilled with time management and initiativeSomeone who can work both independently and as part of a team What You'll Do (but not limited to)Grassroots organizing in Lowcountry SC - including minimum bi-monthly travel to clinics in the SC Lowcountry service areaRecruit, train, and mobilize volunteers and community activists Manage relationships with grassroots volunteers and supportersExecute rapid response events/actions during legislative, electoral, or issue-based campaign peaksImplement grassroots organizing tactics, such as canvassing, voter engagement, phone banking, relational organizing, etc. Develop connections and foster leadership with local student groups, as well as manage Planned Parenthood Generation Action student organizations Develop relationships within multiple communities and identify needs and opportunities within those communities with local leaders

Compensation: PPSAT's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Each job at PPSAT is assigned a pay grade built on market data. For an individual coming into PPSAT, we set a pay generally between the minimum and the midpoint of the pay grade. Starting offers are determined by the candidate's relevant experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The hiring range for this position is $25.60 to $29.95 per hour.
