Responsibilities As a Complex Claims Consultant- Casualty , you will serve two primary functions:
Provide technical advice and direction to our most seasoned Commercial Casualty claims professionals in the areas of coverage, liability, damages, reserves, investigation, evaluation, litigation strategy, and resolution. Directly handle a smaller inventory of our most complex, high-exposure Commercial Casualty claims, including extra-contractual claims, complex coverage litigation, class actions, etc. You'll also monitor and provide departmental guidance on compliance related activities. You will partner with a high-performing team of claims professionals located across our three offices.

What you can expect: Internal mobility and advancement opportunities Visibility and direct access to senior leaders and partnership with cross functional teams Culture of innovation, teamwork, supportive colleagues and leaders willing to invest in talent Opportunity to lead change Benefits – competitive salary, paid time off, comprehensive wellness benefits and programs, employer funded health savings account, profit sharing, 401k, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase plan, tuition assistance and professional continuing education We'll count on you to: Monitor complex and/or high exposure claim files and direct the technical and tactical direction of complex matters Provide technical advice and guidance to claims staff through effective coaching and mentoring Participate in pre-trial and roundtable discussions designed to ensure timely and accurate claim file reserves and sound resolution strategy Participate in the claim file / law firm audit process to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Manage and handle complex and/or high-exposure claims investigation and evaluation, including coverage, investigation, reserves evaluation of compensability and damages, recovery and resolution Participate in special projects designed to improve organizational performance Coordinate and conduct technical training for claims staff Qualifications Ten years related experience with high-level, commercial complex claims Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required Ability to travel Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Possess strong customer orientation skills to respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries Effective project management skills Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Demonstrate problem analysis and problem resolution skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
