Concrete/Masonry Field Inspector - Blacksburg, Va

Stevenson Consulting, Inc. is a well-established engineering firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections. We are looking for a full-time entry-level CONCRETE/MASONRY FIELD INSPECTOR to join our team. Responsibilities: Observing and testing samples of concrete and masonry on client's job sitesPreparing daily field reports for management reviewAssisting with laboratory testing and other assigned tasks as neededDaily interaction with clients and team members Required: High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of experience in construction industryAbility to lift 50 lbs. and team lift 70 lbs.Ability to climb laddersWillingness to work off-shift hours, including some weekendsWillingness to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditionsAbility to use electronic devicesValid driver's license with satisfactory driving historyAbility to pass background screen and drug screeningDesired: ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector or ACI Concrete Construction Special InspectorICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector ACI Concrete Field Grade IAt this time, Stevenson Consulting will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
