AHEAD is looking for a Level 1 Configuration Technician to join the organization. This position will be responsible for following platform documentation, processes, and production defaults in order to properly apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hardware-specific software. This is a 2nd Shift position.
\n Roles & ResponsibilitiesBe able to build and configure computer servers by analyzing data sheets and system requirements provided by the engineering team Identify and troubleshoot computer hardwareInstall and configure operating systems; Windows and LinuxFlash BIOS and other firmwareConfigure network switchesFollow platform documentation and production defaults in order to properly apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hard-specific software to hardware systems Help other departments as needed QualificationsOne to two years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing facilityBasic experience with server or networking equipment Be able to build and configure computer servers by analyzing data sheets and system requirements provided by engineering and salesGreat attention to detailsWork well with others and demonstrate a great work ethicWork well under pressureMeets set deadlines and goalsAble to work independentlyMaintain 5S standardsCommunicate any issues to supervisor Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple mathPhysical demands: Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a repetitive basis Ability to work on feet 8+ hours a day Preferred Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience with computer hardwareExperience with various operating systems, Linux preferred
