This Opportunity WSP is looking for a Construction CEI Liaison Project Manager to join our CM team in Georgia.
Your Impact Job Duties: Serve as the liaison between the CEI consultant company and Department of Transportation. Serve as the Safety Champion for all CEI employees. Monitor WSP employees equipment needs including trucks, phones, laptops, and PPE. Coordinates recruitment, interview, recommendation, GDOT approval for all hiring of GDOT CEI Inspectors including subconsultants and WSP. Meet with area office managers on continuous basis to ascertain the needs of the field staff, including promoting, removing or adding staff. Initiates any adverse action for non-compliance with FOT and company rules code of conduct. Monitors the financials of individual task orders assigned to the district. Submits recommendations to the District Construction Managers and State Construction Office to support new task order amounts based on the upcoming GDOT Construction work program Prepares required information and coordinates with GDOT Procurement individual to obtain task orders to fund necessary resources to support contract scope. Meet monthly with GDOT District Construction Managers. Prepare and coordinate presentation of construction inspector training for GDOT and CEI construction inspection staff. Assist in the preparation of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) submittal proposals for GDOT Procurement opportunities to support winning additional contracts. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or similar engineering field from an accredited university. 15 years of related experience in major infrastructure construction projects either on transportation, complex bridge or railroad projects. GDOT Construction Contract Administration experience preferred. Experience in managing work scope, budgets and schedules. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Valid Class E driver's license to operate a company vehicle to perform the duties of the position. Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening. Proven ability in successful delivery of construction projects including final estimate, schedule, and as-builts. Strong understanding of all relevant GDOT construction contract documents to ensure all work performed is compliant. Strong negotiation skills. Knowledge of federal and state regulations Knowledge of GDOT contract administration to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the applicable specifications, standard drawings and policies Experience in supervising subordinate employees including GDOT Area Managers, District Contract Administration Managers and inspection staff. Customer service experience related to resolving problems that involve explaining engineering concepts to various customer groups. Proven track record of successfully administering GDOT Construction contracts.
