Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in providing program and project management for design and construction, project controls, commissioning, construction-related technology, and facilities management, seeks a Construction Project Manager, for a project in conjunction with the federal government, in Washington, D.C. to join our expanding team.
\n Responsibilities & DutiesWork with multiple lines of business to define program and requirementsWork with customer to determine best location or multiple location options for each project Design (a background in office design and/or interior fit-outs, such as architecture, interior design or engineering is crucial)Provide project schedule to customer and work with MEP and Architecture to plan and execute projectsCommunicate project progress to customers, including high-level executives within DHS)Move services - move customers to temporary location for duration of construction and move them back when construction is completedTeam player with a positive attitude, is self-motivated and solution oriented Basic QualificationsA bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc.) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or a minimum of four years in a project management position for interior renovation or new construction projects.A minimum of 4+ years' experience in commercial construction project management (in addition to education or experience requirements above).Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial building projects, and experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects.Ability to work independently and in groups and in a stressful environmentExperience interfacing with GSA, A&E firms, building suppliers and construction tradesUnderstanding of construction methodology and schedulingExperience developing Government project cost estimates and tracking fundsAbility to develop project schedules in MS Project and/or Primavera P3-P6Ability to direct facility construction activities and run construction progress meetingsAbility to electronically review and print AutoCAD documentsExperience in commercial projects that included a large percentage of systems furnitureAbility to pass a DHS "suitability" background investigation is a requirementMust hold active US Secret security clearance Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with NCR DHS locations is preferredFamiliarity with design/construction of secure (SCIF) spaces is preferred
