The Mt Desert Island Hospital's Construction Project Manager (Clerk of the Works) will be the daily coordinator for a large-scale renovation project at Mount Desert Island Hospital.
This $43 million project, which includes expanding the Emergency Department, updating and renovating the Surgical Suite, and adding a dedicated main entrance, is not just a construction project.
It's a commitment to the community.
The position is crucial for ensuring the timeliness, efficiency, and seamless integration of construction activities within the hospital's operational environment.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in a healthcare setting. Cognitive Requirements: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Physical Demands: On-site at Mount Desert Island Hospital.Full-time, with the possibility of occasional evenings and weekends as project demands require. Environment: This role requires frequent interaction with construction sites, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and other construction-related conditions.
