Position Overview Responsible for the overall quality of the service, accuracy, and consistency of contracts, as well as shepherding contracts through the final documentation and approval processes using the Salesforce (Conga) management system. Contracting Specialist will also assist in management of the day-to-day operations of Contract Management, create and provide reports, and make suggestions to improve the contracting process to drive efficiency.
Responsibilities for Contract Specialist Day-to-day management responsibilities of the contract execution workflow for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). Facilitating of contract workflow and maintenance of documents and data accuracy within the Salesforce contract management system. Manage to ensure proper approvals and signatures are received for timely execution of contracts. Facilitate agreements to our partners for countersignature. Responsible for executing in the creation and delivering of end of quarter/end of month (EOQ/EOM) reporting to our partners per the GPO contract terms. Assist in work stream to automate and enhance efficiency in this area. Assistance with the creation of contract summaries and other resources required to effectively communicate to McKesson Sales team and GPO membership. Participate in the contract review process lending insight and influence into the negotiations, strategy, and implementation of contracts. Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and a knowledge of a customer needs and ability to fulfill its requirements. Collaborate with a business development team, legal team consisting of lawyers, paralegals. Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are following company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations. Clearly explain contract terminology to partners and other interested parties in simple, everyday language. Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
Education Bachelor's degree and/or Associates degree with an equivalent amount of experience required.
Critical Skills 4+ years of relevant contract management, contract negotiation, sourcing, supply chain, or negotiating/managing contracting Contracting best practices and approaches (redlining, facilitating, and execution) Skills in managing complex projects with the right level of agency Ability to partner cross-functionally and deliver best outcomes for internal and external stakeholders Knowledge of current and legally-binding contractual language and terminology Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, and partner concerns Must have high attention to detail and be able to deliver high quality and accurate outputs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations Good organization skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask on several projects Salesforce (Apttus/Conga) or other contract lifecycle management system experience required DocuSign experience required

Our Base Pay Range for this position
