Controls System Engineer Our client is a leading provider of innovative industrial automation solutions.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design and develop machine and process control systems, ensuring customer satisfaction and project success. This role involves a blend of field and remote work, with occasional travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects from definition to installation and customer acceptance. Maintain project cost and schedule tracking. Develop project milestones, parts lists, and electrical schematics. Perform programming and development of robotic cells and control systems. Provide technical leadership and support to internal teams and customers. Lead training classes for customers in your area of expertise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives. Maintain a positive P&L statement and adhere to project budgets. Competencies:
Functional Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens, Omron). Experience with SCADA/HMI Applications (Wonderware, Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk). CAD Development Software (AutoCAD/ePlan). System troubleshooting and problem solving. Knowledge of industry standards (NEC, NFPA, UL). Project Management. PLC and HMI Programming/Design. Code Development/Programming from scratch. Proficiency in Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, AutoCAD, ePlan, and Solidworks. Occasional remote work may be available. Travel is required. Requirements:
Education: Some college with a focus on Electrical Engineering or similar required. Associates or BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience required. Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills required. Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
