Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Automation/Controls Responsibilities:
Trouble shooting and programming PLC's – preferably Siemens
Trouble shooting and programming vision inspection systems
Robotics – Linear and articulating
Lean – assembly line balancing, visual factory, kanban

Process design:
Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations
Integrate ergonomics principles in line design
Release manufacturing process documents
Issue process flowcharts
Conduct process FMEA
Support updating plant layout
Follow-up prototype builds
Get support from relevant technology experts or support functions

Process implementation:
Ensure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvement
Carry out process activity analysis
Implement improvement action plans
Participate in equipment reception process
Capitalize on lessons learned and provide best practices

Your profile and competencies to succeed
Knowledge / Skills:
Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions – and work with employees at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skilled
Must be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods.

Education / Experience:
At least 5 years' experience in automation/controls with in-depth knowledge of robot programming, tracability systems, low voltage control wiring, profinet networking, vision systems and various poke yoke installations
Automotive manufacturing experience, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering
Siemens PLC experience is a plus
Program Management experience is a plus
Vision systems experience (Keyence/Cognex). System programming experience with modern PLC's including function block and structured text code),  various traceability systems
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline.
