Full job description Seeking a Controls Technician near the Jackson, TN area! Job Description: Installs, configures, programs, tests, and repairs programmable logic equipment and associated peripherals Makes changes to existing control logic and operator interface programs Assists in implementation of new control systems Installs and configures programming terminals Maintains data structure of the terminals used to monitor PLC programs and operate machinery Installs, tests, and repairs electrical controls components Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and apply knowledge of functional operation of machinery and electrical control units and systems Assist maintenance in identifying defective components and wiring, and adjusting mechanical parts Align, adjust and calibrate control components Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests Performs programming and troubleshooting of PLC controllers Reads schematics and OEM specifications in order to program, configure and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment Additional duties as assigned Additional Skills & Qualifications: Expertise with complex PLC systems such as RS View, RS Logic 5000 Expertise with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation components Proficient with MS Office Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
