HII is seeking an experienced Chief Information Systems Officer (CISO) in our Arlington, VA office to provide consultative and expert leadership to its enterprise Cybersecurity Program, with responsibility for ensuring the early identification of threats and risks, and the implementation of controls and other processes and methods to protect the company's information systems.
Designated chair of the HII Cyber Advisory Board, with responsibility for strategic and tactical execution of the Cybersecurity Program, respectively.Functions as the enterprise owner of the HII Cybersecurity Program; providing leadership and expert consultation for the CEO, CIO, and CyberIT organization.Owns Enterprise Cyber Operations to include Governance, Strategy and Operations; This includes; data and information systems security risks, policies, actions, as well as applicable customer and regulatory requirements, including the DFARS. Areas of responsibility include risk analysis and risk management; threat assessment and management; and, incident response. Provides advice with regard to government notices and investigations related to information security.Lead the security, security operations center, regulatory controls and risk and vulnerability assessments of information security programs across the enterprise.Lead CMMC efforts and provide expert leadership to divisional CIOs to support the continuous planning, development and implementation of secure information systems infrastructure and policies, procedures and practices necessary to protect data and systems from internal and external threat.Participate in and consult with working groups to address cybersecurity issues, including the investigation of network intrusion activity, vulnerabilities, preparedness, access control, malware, etc.Provides consultation with regards to incident response plans and procedures, and other Information technology risk management efforts.Provides consultation and oversees the development and implementation of hardening procedures for the enterprise's networks, hardware and software. Maintains significant knowledge of information security technologies, networking and network architecture, as well as cyber threat actors, attack methodologies.Provides consultative oversight to information security and privacy education programs.Effective management of resources, including budgets and personnel to build and inspire a high-performing security team.Must Have10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 8 years relevant experience
Nice to HaveSignificant experience managing forensic investigations and incident response, demonstrating substantial knowledge of information security technologies, networking and network architecture.
Substantial knowledge of cyber threat actors and attack methodologies.
Strong communications skills – written, oral and presentational.
BS in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree in relevant field preferred.
Current information security certifications as a CISSP, CISM, CIPP or CFE preferred.
Multiple designations desired.
