To support these efforts, RESPEC is seeking an individual to facilitate the development, continuous improvement, and implementation of the RESPEC's Health & Safety (H&S) Program. The Corporate H&S Manager will support the organization in day-to-day operations and administration by working collaboratively with our U.S. and Canadian teams to implement, review, and improve existing written programs and practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and client requirements. This role will be based in either our U.S. headquarters office in Rapid City, SD, or in our Denver, CO, office. General duties include regulatory review, development, and revision of programs and practices, documentation, communications, and training related to RESPEC's H&S programs and practices. Additional responsibilities include:
Work in cooperation with RESPEC's operational leadership, Director of Risk Management, HR, VPs, Market Sector Leads, Project Managers, field team members, and H&S office leads in the U.S. and Canada offices.Remain current with emerging trends, regulations, H&S best practices, and client requirements.Lead RESPEC H&S programs and practices as determined by RESPEC leadership, and ensure implementation of requirements and annual updates.Coordinate with RESPEC Office Safety Leads to manage general office safety at all of RESPEC's locations.Perform annual reviews of all RESPEC H&S programs.Develop and track internal training on all internal RESPEC H&S programs and policies.Provide on-call support for injury management and incident investigations.Maintain H&S metrics and injury reporting for compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.Maintain and manage RESPEC's Contractor Management Accounts (ISNet World, Avetta, Veriforce, etc.).Research and manage the procurement of any necessary H&S Management Systems.Coordinate with RESPEC's insurance broker to submit and manage Workers' Compensation claims. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or other related field10 years of experience in a management-level H&S role, or a graduate-level degree and 5 years of experience in an H&S roleProfessional HSSE designation such as (ASP, CSP)30-Hour OSHA Safety Training for Construction and/or General IndustryPreferred Experience/Skills: Experience at large, multi-national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting organizationsTraining and public speakingH&S controls and/or management systemsMulti-jurisdictional experience and familiarity (OSHA & MSHA)Canadian H&S standardsStrong leadership skills and attention to detailCapability to assess and organize priorities and work independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal and organizational abilities; and the ability to build and contribute to a positive team atmosphereComputer proficiency with the Office 365 suite of servicesDemonstrated ability to meet deadlinesAssist in cultivating and maintaining a safety culture in a growing company Additional Information Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
