Vaco is currently hiring for a Cost Accounting Manager in Milwaukee County. This position is full-time onsite. 
Financial Analysis and Accounting Operations Monitor and analyze actual costs and prepare monthly reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Monitors and analyzes changes in raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Maintain and coordinate Transfer Price analysis with affiliates.  Assist in costing new product development, product launch and product obsolescence.  Monitors and analyzes distribution costs (freight & warehousing).  Monitors and analyzes financial & operational reports. Lead and manage the quarterly excess and obsolete inventory review process. Develops and maintains actual cost data in Oracle system. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation. Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts and provides business decision support. Key contributor in ERP projects and enhancements Ensure monthly ERP manufacturing transactions are performed timely and accurately.   Financial Reporting Assist in the preparation of monthly financial, legal, management and group reporting. Providing cost reporting and freight reporting to aid in management decisions.  Ad-hoc reporting. Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and audit requirements.  Plans, coordinates, and participates in the physical inventory.  Manage the coordination with plant manager and directors, forecast and budget for manufacturing facilities and copack locations. Special project support including cash flow and present value (PV) analysis of capital expenditures. Provide support to manufacturing and supply chain functions.  Other special projects or necessary duties as required for harmonious business and working relationships. Management responsibilities Manage Cost Accounting staff and cost functions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Software: Oracle, SAP , Microsoft suite – going from oracle to SAP in Jan 2025 – phase two 
Education: Bachelor's degree   
Must haves: 10-15 years of experience, management experience (Managing 2), personality – large company but feels like a family feel in the office. Wants someone who gets along well with others.
