About : Requires strong conceptual and working knowledge in job area. Works independently, with moderate level of guidance general supervision. Some direct / relevant experience to perform a range of assignments related to job discipline. Applies experience to accomplish difficult tasks. This is a hybrid position.
Scope : This position is critical in ensuring accurate financial analysis and decision-making processes to support the hospital's mission of improving child health and transforming care delivery through fully integrated, globally recognized research, education, and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Reporting : Prepare timely and accurate cost reports and variance analyses for internal management, external stakeholders, and regulatory compliance, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Maintain comprehensive cost accounting systems and processes to capture, allocate accurately, and report costs associated with hospital operations, including direct and indirect costs, labor, supplies, and overhead expenses.
Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Operations, and Clinical departments to gather relevant cost data.
Special Projects : Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, such as system implementations, financial modeling, and strategic planning exercise, to support organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred:
Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting
Proficiency in financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling techniques, with advanced skills in Microsoft products
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
