Our Fortune 500 Client, is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician for a contract assignment in Columbus, OH. This role will involve managing and maintaining critical infrastructure within the Data Center and ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
**Critical Facilities Technician**
**Onsite in Columbus, OH**
**6-11 Month contract**
**$32/hour**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems (e.g., switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution).
+ Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies.
+ Monitor and maintain visibility of electrical and cooling systems.
+ Utilize CMMS system for tracking and completing equipment repairs.
+ Manage on-site shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
+ Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations.
+ Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders on projects to optimize plant safety, performance, and efficiency.
+ Assist in the design and enhancement of facility infrastructure.
+ Oversee asset and inventory management and support recruiting efforts.
+ Ensure high-quality service delivery and meet customer demands.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
+ Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree preferred.
+ 0-2 years of experience in Data Center operations.
+ Proficiency in MS Office.
+ Strong team-oriented, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 0-2 years of Data Center engineering or management experience.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
+ Knowledge of network design, layout, and low voltage cabling.
