Job Summary: The CT Technologist is responsible for performing specialized CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist operates advanced CT equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures high-quality imaging. The role involves close collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic information. Core Responsibilities: Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Prepare patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Operate and maintain CT equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images. Monitor and document patient information using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff. Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret CT images for accurate diagnosis. Participate in quality control procedures to maintain equipment standards and ensure compliance with departmental protocols. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field. Licensure/Certification: ARRT (CT) Certification required. Current Nebraska Radiographer's License required. Skills: High proficiency in CT imaging techniques. Strong clinical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
