The Service Advisor is responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relaying information to the Service Technicians.
Their duties include greeting customers and helping them determine repairs and relevant costs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge about Boss Shops range of services and contacting customers to update them about their vehicles repair status. Coordinates the service centers scheduling and workflow.Service writes for the location including but not limited to, creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following all cash handling policies, and parts order and collecting for all jobs.Answers customer questions about service outcomes and consults with the Technicians as needed.Understands marketing and sales strategies to finalize all transactions.Consults with Technicians about needed repairs and communicates those needs with the customer.
Comprehends the industry needs by increasing knowledge of products and services.Understands the customers need and be able to communicate those needs to the Technicians and vice versa.Responsible for keeping all customer facing items cleaned, stocked, and up to date.Responsible for receiving merchandise, stocking, and updating pricing for all showroom products.Maintains a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.Assigns work to all technicians within the guidelines of the company.Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.Additional Job Duties: Assists with other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed): Retail or guest service experience preferred. Minimum Qualifications: Valid Drivers license and insurable to drive.Able to maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.Able to complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.Able to work on the computer system efficiently.Ability to read, write and perform math skills.Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.Demonstrates excellent communication skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, may require weekends and evenings.Must have reliable transportation and phone.Must be able to communicate in English.
