Data Conversion Engineer

Job Description: As a Data Conversion Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data conversion processes using .NET technologies.
Your role will involve transforming data from various sources into formats suitable for our applications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to data migration projects.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop data conversion solutions using .NET technologies, including C#, VB.NET, and related frameworks.
Analyze data requirements and source data structures to create effective conversion strategies and mappings.
Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to migrate data between different systems and formats.
Develop and maintain data conversion tools and scripts to automate and streamline data transformation processes.
Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and integrity of converted data.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and document data requirements and conversion specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve data conversion issues and errors, providing timely solutions and support.
Monitor and optimize data conversion performance to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data conversion and .NET development.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in data conversion and migration projects using .NET technologies.
4 years of experience with VB.NET, C#, SQL, JSON, XML, Win Forms, and Web APIs.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server databases and data manipulation (SQL queries, stored procedures).
Familiarity with ETL tools and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS).
