About the role: Currie & Brown is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Davis-Bacon Act Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with federal wage standards on our construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring contractor adherence to Davis-Bacon Act requirements, conducting site inspections, and reviewing payroll records to ensure fair compensation for all laborers and mechanics.
Responsibilities will include: Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable wage determinations.Interview workers on-site to assess awareness of their rights and confirm proper wage payment.Maintain accurate documentation of compliance monitoring activities, findings, and corrective actions taken.Project reporting both internally and externally (client stakeholders)Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and labor representatives to address compliance issues and implement corrective measures.Provide training and guidance to contractors and subcontractors regarding Davis-Bacon requirements and best practices for compliance.Review and analyze certified payroll reports submitted by contractors to ensure accuracy in wage payments and classifications.Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, issues identified, and actions taken to remedy violations. Requirements: Knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act and federal labor regulations.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance monitoring software.Previous experience in construction, contract management, or labor relations.
(preferred)Mandarin speaking (preferred) Qualifications & Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 experience in labor compliance monitoring, construction management, or a similar role.
Certification in labor compliance or related field is a plus.
