RahrBSG is looking for a Demand Planner to join our team. The Demand Planner creates and executes the organizational Demand Plan, coordinates with the Supply Planning team to account for forecasted supply, and balances inventory levels throughout the organization. The position also works with the Planning team to communicate capacity concerns to the logistics and operations teams. As a key contributor on the Supply Chain team, this role implements strategies and creates best practices to anticipate and minimize out of stocks and drive improvements in customer fulfillment. This is a hybrid role based in either Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Denver, Colorado.

Supports leadership in communicating via our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Planning for timely execution.Identifies key sales indicators for specific products to provide the sales department with relevant analysis and guidance with respect to decision-making.Partners with Sales leadership and team to improve demand forecast accuracy.Reconciles forecast error and communicates impacts to appropriate teams.Develops forecasting models with the support of forecasting software. Maintains sales forecast and adjusts as necessary to minimize forecast error.Monitors trending sales and manages exceptions related to lagging or surging sales, communicating as necessary.Requests, inputs, and analyzes customer forecasts, working with sales to maintain and communicate shortfalls.Collaborates with Supply Planning team to identify out of stock or excess inventory and determine its root cause, creates Capacity Reports to communicate future constraints to Logistics, Suppliers, Production, and Warehouse, and optimizes internal transfers and inventory.Seeks out and proposes solutions/improvements to processes by identifying inaccurate or untimely data, with the goal of improving demand forecast accuracy.Supports leadership with risk assessment and mitigation activities.Documents processes and develops/maintains SOPs and work instructions to ensure back-up support can effectively perform job functions in absence.Sets a high bar for data analysis and storytelling by keeping abreast of new technology, methodology, and best practices, ensuring that self-development is prioritized to meet the changing needs of the business. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs. MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field. Supply Chain or Data Analytics focus is a plus.3+ years' experience in a Planning role (Production, Supply, or Demand).Advanced Excel Skills required, particularly in analysis and data modelling. Prior experience with Avercast or similar level forecasting software.Prior experience with MRP and/or ERP preferred, including methods to leverage data from the systems. Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge a plus.
