The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the highest level of financial controls, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, reporting, and analysis.
This role involves enhancing the department's role as a strategic partner, being technology-savvy to automate processes, and safeguarding the company's financial assets.
The Deputy CFO will also be involved in managing senior finance staff, supporting the Chief Financial Officer in financial decision-making, and leading transformative change to improve and streamline processes.
Candidates for the Deputy CFO position at the company should have a Master's degree in business, finance, or accounting, with at least 5 years' experience in a finance-related field, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and apply business intelligence concepts to a large organization.
Knowledge of complex financial metrics, accounting principles, and experience with union or nonprofit compliance and regulatory requirements are preferred.
The Deputy CFO will also be involved in managing the company's assets and investments, so experience in this area is essential.
