I. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Provide CAD drafting services primarily for the Mechanical/Piping Department and other departments as needed.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES: Proficient with Autocad, Cadworx P&ID, MS Excel, to produce mechanical/piping design deliverables. Prepares drawing packages for Checking. Proficient with P&ID and PFD standards. Creates new drawings and incorporates requested drawing revisions while adhering to Company and Client drawing standards. Communicates and provides technical solutions and concepts. Assists with training other drafters by providing instruction/training on new technologies and/or a specialization. Ensures effective communications among and serves as liaison between other engineering and design disciplines. Assists Senior Designers and Engineers as directed. Assists in occasional field work for data collection and P&ID verification. Assists in updating progress reports. Attends staff/project meetings. III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 2-year degree in Computer drafting/design. 1 to 5 years of experience in drafting and design preferred. Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of design concepts and systems. Demonstrates good communication skills and ability to lead others in technical and non-technical areas. Proficient in current design, drafting, and software packages. Autocad 2018 or higher, Cadworx P&ID, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe pdf. Experience with Cadworx Plant, Cadworx Equipment, Plant Mo, Navis Works, LFM. Experience with industrial piping 3D modelling, Point Clouds, Laser Scanning. Experience with Piping Isometric drawings and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's). Previous P&ID walkdown experience is a plus. Be able to obtain and maintain TWIC and Client facility entry requirements. V. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: Reports to Mechanical / Piping Engineering Manager. Available for short-term travel. VI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times. Ability to perform field work, which includes walking, climbing, long periods of standing. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
