Location Marysville, Ohio Job Purpose Responsible for designing, following manufacture and processing of stamping dies for North American mass production facilities with outputs in the form of 3D models while working closely with customers and internal team members to ensure high quality parts and production stability. Key Accountabilities Design new model stamping dies utilizing CAD software Investigate improvements or countermeasure tooling related problems during die builds, trials, and mass production Set processing for new model panels for manufacturability Design Project Leader of stamping tools for new model projects Follow and check in house and supplier designs Installation of stamping tools at North American plants Investigate and implement business related improvement items Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering, Associate's Degree with 2 years of additional relevant experience, or 4 years of additional relevant experience with no degree At least 3 years stamping or tooling design experience CAD software experience Mechanical/manufacturing knowledge Workstyle 50% office environment: sitting for extended periods and working on PC equipment 40% manufacturing environment: PPE required at all times in manufacturing environment, standing for prolonged periods (up to 8hrs), occasionally lifting up to 40lbs, occasionally working inside injection machines, potential exposure to heat, occasional exposure to dust, oil or grease Up to 10% travel required, including international (Japan, Canada, Mexico) Benefits and Total Rewards What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
