Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experienceAgency and/or Higher education experience preferredPosition SummaryThe Digital Marketing & Content Strategist position will develop the marketing and content strategy for the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) and is a key member of the SPIA Office of Development and External Relations (ODER) under the supervision of the Director of External Relations. This position will execute and drive reputation-elevating and recruitment results through their communication campaigns and marketing projects.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesAbility to use P-Card for job related dutiesExperience in digital marketing – website, emails, social media, SEO, CMS, CRM, etc.Deep knowledge of social media platforms, current trends, and performance analyticsExceptional written and verbal communication abilities, strong AP Style backgroundProficient in graphic design software and multimedia content creation.Duties/ResponsibilitiesDigital marketing and content creationCollaborates with SPIA stakeholders and cross-functional internal department teams to conceive and help implement multi-media marketing campaigns.Manage paid media budget and assist in the accounting process.Design marketing collateral and optimize SEO for effective print collateral, publications, and media outlets.Social mediaManage the SPIA social media calendar and create engaging content.Develop and execute paid media strategies for various platforms.Web content and strategyDetermine website priorities based on overall marketing strategies.Implement digital marketing strategy and create compelling content across various SPIA websites.Reporting and trainingAnalyze web traffic metrics and report monthly KPIs.Train internal SPIA faculty and staff on website and social media best practices.Contact InformationRecruitment Contact Name: Hannah Cowart
