WHAT YOU'LL DO
Designs, develops, and implements benefit programs and related employee communications programs; assures all benefits designs comply with applicable legislation and management directives. Proactively manages the benefit programs' costs, administrative processes, and financial impacts

Assist with the design and development health and welfare and qualified/non-qualified benefit programs based on corporate goals and objectives.

Leads the administration of all benefit programs.

Assures the benefit programs are consistent with competitive practice and managed for optimum return on investment.

Analyzes existing benefit programs and conducts market research on prevailing practices among other organizations; provides in-depth analysis with recommendation for benefit enhancement or adaptations.

Develops financial models and budgets for all benefit programs including H&W, leaves and retirement.

Monitors benefit program budgets to assure accuracy; identifies variances and determines method of address.

Develops processes to support ready access for employees regarding benefit status, enrollment, and benefit options.

Works with the organization to facilitate employee awareness and understanding of the benefit programs.

Directs preparation and distribution of written and verbal benefits communications.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related area with at least 10 years progressively more responsible experience for managing diverse benefit programs and communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of designing benefit programs for a diverse employee population with specific experience in medical, dental, prescription drugs, leave administration, retirement programs including 401(k) design/administration, life insurance, executive benefits, and salary continuation.

In-depth analysis of utilization, expected growth, and financial impact.

Experience dealing with vendors and providers including knowledge of contracts and performance guarantees. Extensive negotiating skills required.

Experience with employee communications and education; as well as third party administration and claims reconciliation.

Proficient computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Workday is a plus.
