Job Description:Location: MMK The Role Fixed Income Technology is looking for a "hands on" leader for the Fixed Income Investor Tools Development team. This is an important and vital group that is embedded with Fixed Income investment professionals to bring technology to bear on some of the most challenging aspects of the fund management process. This team needs a champion who will foster innovation, enable rapid time to market, and build a community passionate about better developed solutions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring Hands-on development experience across a broad stack of technologies (UI, API, data, etc.) such as Angular, Python, SQL, Shell scripting, Excel VBA10+ years of professional experience with proven experience leading developers and development effortsSolid understanding of how to use rapid development approaches bringing to bear enterprise capabilities to deliver robust business solutionsDemonstrable experience working with development efforts using large data sets, data visualization tools, and databasesExperience evaluating vendor software and leading technical vendor engagementAbility to learn new business workflows, concepts, and processesPassionate about using phenomenal engineering to deliver solutions in new and creative waysYou have great communication skills and bring excitement that builds collaboration and communityYou can see the "big picture" impact of small decisions made in the present and are able to influence and empower others to do the sameYou are committed to building winning partnerships and finding the best overall solutionsYou excel at empowering others to achieve their best results by providing resources, mentoring, and your personal expertiseLeading a group of developers that delivers technology solutions to a broad number of partners with differing priorities and needsEncouraging your team to use existing components, API's, and frameworks to speed delivery and increase reliabilityNegotiating a balance between "absolute best" and "efficient and practical" to good effectSetting roadmaps and product versions in a way that deliver new capabilities continuously while minimizing the "upgrade burden" on consumers of your group's outputsChart a future course that brings ITD development more "in line" with the enterprise technology stackThe Team Due to the breadth and complexity of the various securities held in Fixed Income funds, our technology must keep pace with changes in investment markets, strategies, and regulations. The Investment Tools Development (ITD) team works directly with investment professionals using a suite of technologies and digital tools to build solutions. Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. AMT is an integral partner for Asset Management to deliver innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools that enable Asset Management to achieve competitive advantage globally.
