Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing Operations to lead and transform our marketing operations team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for collaboration and a deep understanding of how to leverage data and technology to drive marketing efficiency and enhance our customer experience. The ideal candidate will excel at simplifying complex processes, improving cross-functional teamwork, and utilizing AI to unlock new levels of productivity and insight.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partner:

Partner with various marketing functions to develop and implement a cohesive vision for marketing operations. Foster strong relationships with teams across the organization to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration:

Build and lead a high-performing marketing operations team, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales operations, to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, understand alignment between sales and marketing priorities, and assess the impact of changes on upstream and downstream processes.

Data-Driven Insights & Analysis:

Analyze complex data sets to uncover actionable insights and translate these insights into strategic recommendations that drive marketing performance and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain performance tracking frameworks, including dashboards and scorecards, in collaboration with Business Intelligence (BI) teams.

Process Optimization:

Simplify and streamline marketing processes to enhance team collaboration and performance. Identify and eliminate internal complexities that hinder the team's ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Manage the end-to-end flow including lead routing, scoring, data enrichment, attribution, and tracking.

Planning & Performance:

Manage the strategic operations roadmap, ensuring alignment with business direction. Communicate the status and reprioritization of items on the roadmap to the marketing leadership team. Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to manage the marketing budget, including annual planning, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.

Technology Support:

Oversee and support of marketing technology platforms, ensuring their integration and alignment with lead management and revenue processes. Translate strategy into core business requirements for technology and process improvements. Ensure data integrity and effective use of technology to support marketing and sales objectives and to measure the portfolio of strategic bets within the marketing strategy.

Program Support:

Support the development and execution of strategic marketing programs, campaigns, and revenue plays. Lead operational activities related to program launch, measurement, and learning to drive effectiveness.

Customer-Centric Approach:

Design and refine processes and systems with a focus on improving the customer experience. Applying AI to unlock productivity in marketing and improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

7+ years of Marketing Operations experience; BS/BA in a related field

You can be a strategist and hands-on implementer, you thrive in managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment

Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize complex information and datasets into actionable insights and recommendations

You are technically proficient, with an ability to speak to both the business and technical operators to translate the requirements and challenges across teams

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner

Successful track record of working with all levels of management, ability to prioritize and get things done; Strong leadership and team management skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools

Working knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Drift, ChiliPiper, Outreach, Gong or other sales and marketing technology platforms; Past experience leveraging AI and technology to enhance marketing operations and customer experience is a plus.
