Position Purpose
The Director of Admissions works under the supervision of a Head of School, and is responsible for providing high quality, effective instruction, ensuring student progression towards mastery of course content and related skills.
Job Duties
Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website.
Employs CECs mission statement in all decisions.
Develops, maintains and implements all admissions, enrollment and withdrawal procedures and policies, including new students and returning students.
Oversees the management of all student files and information.
Schedules and engages with families at the Information Meetings and assists with the enrollment process as needed.
Oversees the implementation of Refer-a-Friend program.
Oversees October Count processes including attendance records, transcripts-as-report-cards, and Fall Intent processes. Provides and maintains records of all October Count Audit Documentation.
Responsible for supervising the Registrars and Admission's Assistants.
Site Manager for Accuplacer testing. Controls user access and creates branching profiles as needed. Oversees Accuplacer testing for new students.
Collects and enters grades at the end of each semester, working with the Academic Dean to collect grades from college prep teachers and with colleges for the college grades.
Oversees the request and production of transcripts and school records for students including enrollment verifications for VA and SSA benefits.
Responsible for working with colleges to make sure the relationship is functional and understood by all parties.
Supervises the process of transferring grades from other high schools for new students.
Manages and maintains schools database (Infinite Campus) and provides training as needed for Educational Support Staff.
Collaborates with the IT department through the Helpdesk regarding the escalation of any Infinite Campus problems or needs.
Completes all state reports, except for the HR report, as required by the Colorado Department of Education and the Colorado Charter School Institute.
Helps create calendars and bell schedules by completing minute calculations for necessary in seat time.
Maintains GPA and class rank data in Infinite Campus for all students.
Supervises all out-going communications including mass emails, mass phone calls and announcements.
Works as a collaborative team member with the Advising Department and Business Manager to ensure smooth processes and accurate data is maintained in IC.
Provides information and direction to the Advising Department regarding advising policies that affect state reporting, such as full-time equivalencies, grade level, retentions and other data required for state reporting and for other departments.
Answers all calls and emails in a timely manner.
Analyzes and provides school level and state level data to stakeholders as needed/requested.
Helps maintain and implement new strategies in IC for tracking specific data points

Education/Training/Qualifications
Bachelors Degree.
2+ years experience in school/education experience, preferably in high school
2+ years as a Registrar or similar role preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
