Full-Time Year Round/At-Will Position
2024-25 School Year

Primary Function : The Director of Continuous Improvement, Grants, and Instructional Technology, under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, will oversee the continuous improvement process and help support our schools. This position will also develop, organize, and direct the district curriculum review and adoption process and the procurement and implementation of curriculum resources. Under their guidance, the Director will develop, organize, and direct the district's use of classroom technology and software. This position will also support grant writing and management.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Master's degree or higher in the field of administration preferred, with course work in educational leadership and/or curriculum instruction.
Valid State of Michigan administrative certificate or ability to achieve certification per Department of Education requirements.
Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate.
Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience; minimum of three years of successful principal or director experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of data and the use of data to guide instruction.
Demonstrated knowledge of current educational issues and best practices, including, but not limited to: virtual curriculum, classroom technology, best practice use of instructional technology, International Baccalaureate and school improvement.
Experience in DK-12 digital and traditional curriculum development.
Demonstrated leadership and success in staff development with an ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.
Excellent writing and public speaking skills, outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
Knowledge in the area of instructional methods and theory.
Outstanding problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent leadership skills and desire to work as part of a team.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and support continuous improvement. Continuous improvement includes; MICIP, Cognia, improvement cycles, curriculum reviews, etc.
Write, manage, and oversee instructional grants.
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and building principals to develop and supervise the district's curriculum review and adoption process for all schools (traditional and virtual).
Facilitate a collaborative planning process that will engage stakeholders including students, families, school staff and community partners in the adoption of a DK-12 academic curriculum (traditional and virtual).
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and building principals on the implementation of new curriculum resources during the first year of use (traditional and virtual).
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and building principals to implement the district's classroom technology and software effectively.
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and building principals to develop and implement professional development based on best practice use of classroom technology and software effectively.
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, the IT Department, and building principals on the procurement and implementation of classroom technology. Provide or organize PD for instructional technology.
Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and building principals on the collection and use of data to drive instruction and continuous improvement.
Establish measurable program effectiveness goals and complete ongoing measurement and documentation of program effectiveness.
Deliver consistent, accurate and timely communication and correspondence to stakeholders.
Timely adherence to school policies and procedures.
Keep current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory through coursework, in-service programs and by attending professional development activities.
Participate in building and district level activities, staff meetings, professional development activities, program meetings and other educational planning meetings as required.
Maintain regular and predictable in person attendance.
Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Salary range is $92,936 - $117,728 for this exempt/12-month position, commensurate with education and experience.
