Job Summary:
The Director of Contracts is responsible, on the corporate level, for administration of existing contracts, reviewing new contracts, the contracts department, its procedures and employees and all intellectual property activities.
Summary of Duties:
Administration of existing contracts includes the following responsibilities/activities either directly or through an assigned contracts manager:
Monitor and pro-actively manage out of scope work issues.
Review and respond to customer requests for proposals for out of scope work.
Estimate and bid recurring and non-recurring impact for out of scope work.
Prepare and negotiate contract schedule changes, termination and all other claims.
Prepare and negotiate contract escalation requirements.
New Contract review includes the following responsibilities/activities:
Develop terms and conditions to implement appropriate business strategies in support of commercial proposals and contract execution.
In conjunction with the marketing department, review and respond to customer requests for proposals.
Assist Marketing with negotiations between SAFRAN CABIN and customer.
Contracts department responsibilities include:
Writing and administrating corporate operating procedures pertaining to the Contracts Department.
Creating and implementing a training program.
Contracts department employee responsibilities include:
Hiring, conducting performance reviews, and assigning goals.
Directing contracts department employees in daily activities.
Intellectual property activities include:
Patent and miscellaneous IP legal issues.
Sales and licensing agreements for SAFRAN CABIN intellectual property.
Negotiate and administer Licenses, Technical Consulting Agreements, Non-Disclosure agreements and Electronic Accesses Agreements from SAFRAN CABIN customers.
Oversees and directs the work of the Contracts Dept. for all Company locations.
Has the authority to hire or fire other employees, makes decisions as to the advancement and promotion or any other change of status of other employees.
General Duties:
All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of the SAFRAN CABIN products.o All employees are required to productively react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future. Job Summary:
