The Director of Quality plans, coordinates, and implements activities required to maintain the quality management and performance improvement programs for Taylor Health Care Group. Job Duties:
Responsible for ensuring service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performanceDraft quality assurance policies and proceduresInterpret and implement quality assurance standardsEvaluate adequacy of quality assurance standardsDevise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality dataReview the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systemsObserve internal control procedures and evaluate their effectivenessDocument internal audits and other quality assurance activitiesCollect and compile statistical quality dataCore measure data entry and other quality program requirementsAnalyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality systemDevelop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actionsPrepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activitiesIdentify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standardsCoordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providersEvaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actionsAssure ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory requirementsOther related duties and activities may be required to be performedPerforms administrative duties and oversight of other departments as assignedEducation:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Current Georgia licensure as Registered Nurse
Training/Experience:
Experience in healthcare managementApproximately 12 months on the job training/orientation required to become functionally independentMust be able to perform with a high degree of accuracy to reduce errors in judgment concerning utilization of resources and care of clientsMust have strong leadership, management and organizational abilitiesMust be able to utilize initiative and independent action as required within the general framework of professional responsibilitiesDue to the nature of the job, leadership and judgment skills may be necessary in situations not well defined, therefore, individual must be able to discern appropriate action and appropriate interventions within the scope of the Medical Practice Act, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, regulations and rules for Advanced Practice Nursing, Physician Assistants, and community/national standardsMust exhibit a high degree of confidentialityMust exhibit ability to address the public upon issues of healthcare and community concern.Competent with word-processing and spreadsheet software.Quality management experience preferred to include Quality auditingMedical chart review experience preferredCore measure data entry experience preferredSkills/Qualifications:
