Nestled along California's breathtaking coastline, the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is a distinguished beacon of luxury and tranquility. We are seeking an experienced Director of Security and Safety to join our leadership team and help uphold the exceptional standards our guests have come to expect.
What will I be doing? In this pivotal role, the Director of Security and Safety is responsible for leading and developing the Security and Safety department, ensuring that our standards of security, safety, and guest service remain unsurpassed. You will oversee the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives, safeguarding the well-being of our guests and team members while protecting our hotel and property. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
Direct and administer all Safety and Security operations and functions, including preserving the safety and security of guests, team members, and the facility, safe work practice promotion, OSHA compliance, safety incentive programs, and department management.Direct and administer the patrol of the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property to observe and identify potential safety and security risks.Lead investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities.Direct response to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.Serve as primary liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement.Oversee the administration and accuracy of all required reports and documentation.Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely manner.Monitor and develop team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development.Recruit, interview, and train team members.The salary range for this leadership role is $100,000 - $110,000 based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
