Director Of Supply Chain (Cold Chain Experience)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Supply Chain with deep experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industries and specialized expertise in cold chain logistics. This critical leadership role will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring the integrity, quality, and timely delivery of temperature-sensitive products. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. This position offers two days of remote work each week.
\n Responsibilities:Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.Lead a high-performing team across procurement, planning, logistics, and distribution functions.Drive operational efficiencies and cost savings while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.Cold Chain Management:Oversee the design and implementation of cold chain logistics solutions, ensuring temperature-sensitive products meet regulatory and quality requirements throughout the supply chain.Partner with logistics providers and implement tracking systems to monitor temperature-controlled shipments.Address risks associated with cold chain disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.End-to-End Supply Chain Operations:Manage demand planning, inventory management, and procurement to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.Collaborate with production and quality teams to align supply chain operations with manufacturing schedules.Develop and oversee vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards.Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure all supply chain processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GDP, FDA, or equivalent).Lead audits and inspections related to supply chain operations.Identify risks in supply chain processes and establish contingency plans.Technology and Innovation:Drive digital transformation in supply chain operations, leveraging tools such as ERP, TMS, and WMS systems.Implement predictive analytics and real-time tracking solutions to enhance supply chain visibility.Identify and deploy innovative technologies to optimize cold chain logistics and overall supply chain efficiency.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with R&D, quality, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain operations with organizational goals.Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on supply chain trends, challenges, and opportunities.Performance Metrics and Reporting:Establish and track KPIs to measure supply chain performance, including cost, delivery, quality, and service metrics.Regularly report on supply chain performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
