Job Summary Reporting to the Vice President, State Government Affairs - Head of State Policy, this role has responsibility for state policy efforts including analysis, position development, internal and external stakeholder policy engagement and coordination, participation with trade associations, and participation with issue advocacy groups to advance Comcast legislative priorities in the states.
Job Description Core Responsibilities Responsible for intake and preliminary analysis of state legislative and state policy initiatives impacting Comcast businesses.Monitor state legislative activity affecting Comcast NBCUniversal business interests.Coordinate efforts across Comcast's state government affairs corporate and field teams regarding the policy analysis and implications of proposed legislative, executive, and administrative state policy issues.Liaison with key Comcast NBCUniversal departments and subject matter experts regarding the impact of proposed state policies on Comcast businesses.Draft proposed state policy initiatives, legislation, and amendments.Draft and analyze state legislative testimony.Develop policy position papers, reports, and other policy-related materials.Develop relationships on behalf of Comcast with coalition and industry trade associations.Other duties as assigned.Professional Experience & Qualifications Familiarity with key areas of technology and/or telecommunications policy.Strong team player and willingness to assist department in various tasks.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities and possess good organization skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent Comcast in a positive, professional manner.Ability to build relationships as well as work collaboratively to build consensus and positive buy-in/support for initiatives.Strong presentation and communication skills, able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization both in written and oral form.Proven project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional time management and strong eye for detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Travel required: 25-30%.EDUCATION LEVEL: Advanced degree/law degree preferred.

Compensation: Primary Location Pay Range: $160,530.09 - $240,795.14
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus. Additionally, Comcast provides best-in-class Benefits to eligible employees.

Education: Bachelor's Degree. While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
