Position Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for keeping dishes, utensils, and equipment clean as well as adhering to safe food handling and cleanliness practices at all time.
This position also performs tasks such as taking out trash, sweeping, general cleaning and assisting in food preparation.
Responsibilities:
Clean the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals in the kitchen as necessarySafely handle food prep equipment such as dish machine, and knives.
Wash and sorts trays, utensils, and equipment parts as neededEmpty trash cans and take out garbage; light stockingSweep, mop, and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice (weather depending) and general cleanliness of the restaurantReceive truck orders, verify correct inventory, and put all items away in an organized manner.
Put away delivery orders according to food hierarchy.Practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times.Assist with food prep and adhere to company recipes and production levels.

Candidate must be able to:
Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy.Withstand exposure to possible food allergens including but not limited to; meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oilsWithstand exposure to and work with cleaning chemicals.Lift up to 80lbs constantly.Lift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently.Twist, reach, & bend frequently.Listen to and comprehend instructions from Leads, Managers, and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantlyFrequently wash hands.Adhere to schedule and be on time for shiftsAdhere to company uniform and appearance policy
Skills/Qualifications for Ideal Candidate:
High School degree or equivalent preferred and/or 1 year experience in related industryGood communication skills, friendly and polite demeanorStrong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurantStrong interpersonal skills; Team player
