Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in power supply and power systems design, analysis, and implementation, coupled with experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge electrical systems for defense and aerospace applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and delivering innovative solutions to meet mission-critical requirements. This is a 3 month contract to hire and offers 2-3 days of remote work per week.
\n Responsibilities:Design and Development:Design and develop power supply systems, including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and UPS systems, for defense applications.Conduct system analysis, load calculations, and power distribution design to ensure reliable performance under operational conditions.Testing and Validation:Develop and execute test plans to validate electrical systems' performance and compliance with DoD specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance issues in power systems and related components.Technical Documentation:Prepare detailed design documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports.Ensure all designs and documentation adhere to DoD MIL-STD requirements and best practices.Collaboration:Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate power systems into larger platforms.Interface with stakeholders, including DoD representatives, to define and refine project requirements.Compliance and Standards:Ensure compliance with applicable DoD regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and standards within the defense sector.
