We are looking for an?experienced Electrical Engineer to support a government/contractor team on-site at Dahlgren Naval base in Dahlgren, VA Travel: Limited travel may be necessary  Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Requirements: 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer2 years experience with PCB layout software (Altium or equivalent)2 years experience with analog and digital circuit design as well as PCB layout and analysisDemonstrated ability to plan and design project work to meet project objectives and requirementsDemonstrated experience utilizing industry standard Computer Aided Design (CAD) products fordocumenting system designs such as Altium, Agilent ADS, LT Spice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, CST, or HFSS (This includes experience developing technical data packages and documentation in accordance with DoD standards and instruction) Responsibilities: Provide journeyman level Electrical Engineering support to a complex and fast moving DoD program with real world impactsWill interface with other co-workers in a cross-functional team structure to translate end-user requirements into functional designsWill own the design process for one or more assigned projects and interface with vendors on specifications for printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly of designsWill apply knowledge and experience (5+ years) in Electrical Engineering processes, design, development, and testingWill apply knowledge and experience as a hardware developer in a DoD/SOF/FLE related organization Preferred Skills and Experience: Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium is preferred)Experience with analog and digital circuit designExperience with PCB layout and analysisExperience with RF circuit/antenna design and test methodologiesExperience with inspection, test methodologies, diagnostic equipment, and software tools to analyze and resolve electrical engineering issuesExperience with LTSpice or other circuit simulation environmentsExperience with low-power circuit designExperience writing embedded firmware for microprocessorsKnowledge of wireless communications (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC) and/or commercial satellite communications architecture Familiarity with FPGA and ASIC logic design and hardware integration Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required Compensation:  $90,000 - $155,000 (Please see below for more info on salary)  Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.   The projected annual compensation range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.    Benefits: At SimVentions, we're committed to supporting the total well-being of our employees and their families.
