The Georgia-Pacific corrugated packaging facility in Santa Teresa, NM is now hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician. Salary $27.75/hour starting pay (or higher), depending on experience! 2 nd shift differential is $.75 per hour / 3 rd shift differential is $1.00 per hour You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant. This role is eligible for our Performance Pay program that could offer up to a 6% quarterly bonus. Shift Maintenance currently works on a 6 month rotation of shifts Only candidates who are flexible to be assigned to work any shift will be considered Candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends. Orientation will be on 1 st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent shift after your orientation. Santa Teresa operates on a point based attendance program. Shift Hours:
1 st shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed 2 nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed 3 rd shift: Monday - Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as needed Our Team
In this position, you will be utilizing your knowledge and skills around electrical and mechanical maintenance, while building a fulfilling career in the packaging industry! If you enjoy hands-on work where you can make a direct impact to your company and community, this may be the opportunity for you! What You Will Do Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, controls, PLC's, drive systems, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and power transmission systems Utilizing diagrams, schematics, sketches, operations manuals and manufacturer's specifications in order to maintain and properly fix machinery issues Lubricating equipment as needed, identifying opportunities to improve lube program through improved techniques and technology Performing physical job tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling while working in elevated spaces and/or confined spaces Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all safety practices in the facility Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 3+ years' of industrial maintenance experience/industrial military experience OR 3+ years' of formal maintenance mechanical training (technical college/trade school or military) What Will Put You Ahead Corrugated packing industry work experience Background with troubleshooting PLCs, bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and/or conveyors Experience with proper lubrication techniques and oil analysis procedures Experience with AC motors to 460V and DC drives Fabrication and/or welding experience Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Reading technical drawings and schematics
For this role, we anticipate paying $27.75 per hour.
